Set up watch voice

Watch voice uses Codex on your computer to interpret a transcript. Keep the computer awake and connected while speaking on your watch. This feature requires the matching watch app, server and harness release; it is not available on older installations.

Connect your computer​

  1. Install Node.js 22 or newer and Codex CLI 0.159.0 or newer on your computer. Sign in with codex login.

  2. Install the released Cozibud harness with npm install -g @cozibud/harness@0.2.0.

  3. Run one command:

    cozibud-harness relay --provider codex

  4. The first run displays a Cozibud approval link. Open it, sign in, select the household used by your watch and approve the named computer. Return to the terminal: the same command connects automatically. Wait for Cozibud relay connected.

Later runs reuse the saved pairing. Leave the command running and the computer awake. You can check the computer status under Settings → Watch → Watch voice with Codex. If access was disconnected there, the relay asks you to approve pairing again.

Record from your watch​

Pair the watch with Cozibud and select the child. Tap Speak. The watch checks for a connected computer before opening the microphone. Speak, check the transcript and tap Send & save. Cozibud validates the request and shows a verified care record after saving. An unclear request asks for clarification instead.

If voice cannot connect​

  • No computer connected: start the relay command on your computer, approve it if prompted and keep it awake. Check that the computer and watch use the same household. Tap Retry on the watch.
  • Cannot reach Cozibud: check the watch's internet connection and retry. The watch has not recorded or submitted a transcript during this check.
  • More than one computer connected: stop the extra relay commands so exactly one computer handles this household.

Open guide on phone asks your connected Android phone to open this page. The phone must be reachable and support Wear OS link handoff. If it does not open, visit docs.cozibud.com/watch-voice in your phone's browser.

Your Codex login stays on your computer. Only the confirmed transcript and child context go to Codex; microphone audio is not sent to the relay. To remove computer access, choose Disconnect in Watch settings.
